Recent rains have encouraged our fungi friends to grow fast. These sprang up overnight. They are colorful and interesting photo subjects, but hazardous. Mushrooms are frequently poisonous. See this link. And this one from NCSU.
David Gremillion moved to Galloway in 2007. As a long term Triangle resident, he had long admired the Wake Forest area and Galloway was ideally located for family and professional reasons. David is a retired Air Force Colonel and a retired UNC Professor of Medicine with clinical and research experience in Infectious Diseases. He is past President of the Wake County Medical Society. His clinical practice is part-time with an array of administrative roles.
